good news to hear. i am trying to get down there not this weekend, but the next and give the kings a try. is there a bait boat that stays on the water in that area and if so, what channel do they run?
"we averaged 1 fish every 10 to 15 min". were any of these keeper fish?

Too good not to read
I got this in an email this morning -- maybe I am the last one to have seen it, but I had to pass it on. A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little girl. She wanted to know what the United States looked like so he tore a sheet out of his new magazine on which was printed...

Re: Keaton Beach - 5/2
after it was all over, my 9 year old boy, said if we would have been quick enough, we should have just used the gaff. that would have been something else. you are right about the boat traffic, we headed over to fish in front of spring warrior, rock island, eagles nest, etc. it was hard to find a pla...

Keaton Beach - 5/2
Headed down from Albany this morning. No keeper trout, few shorts. moved out deeper to try to get the kids catching some fish and got into some blue runners. while having a good time with them on light tackle, i look at the back of the boat and saw a cobia that was at least 40 inches (conservatively...

Re: Info on Lighthouse at St. Marks?
don't know if you are interested, but the ramp at the fort has been redone earlier this spring and is now a double ramp. seems a little less crazy there to me, but obviously a further ride down the river. good luck.

Re: Help! Need advise with St. Marks area!!
i have been fishing st. marks for about four years now and i am having the worst luck there that i have had during that time. i am having difficulty catching keeper fish of any kind (trout, mackerel, reds). the last couple of trips, the water has been significantly stained which i hope has contribut...

Re: St Marks - last day of grouper fishing
ramp is well done and a much needed improvement; however, parking has a been a problem two out of the last three times i have been. had to park way up the road even when getting there before 8 am. can't imagine what it might be like come true summer time when all the boat riders are there.

Re: St Marks 4/18
well done. we were down saturday and headed out to st. mark's reef about the time the wind layed thinking the slack tide would slow the inshore down. we caught some undersized grouper and some grunts. good job on sticking with them.

Re: Keaton 4/18, Inshore/nearshore
Sounds like a great trip. I have been fishing out of st. marks and have only tried keaton a couple of times. I am planning on heading to keaton more often. Not asking for numbers or specific spots, but generally how far are the nearshore spots that hold these type of fish.

Re: Pinfish on flats yet?
I was at St. Marks last Saturday and didn't see any pinfish or get any pinfish bites. Maybe I wasn't where the pinfish were which has something to do with the slow day I had on trout.
