I am replacing a 80lb minn kota on my key west bay reef. I've been searching for ways to do this with a good way to hide the power cord. I have a yamaha 115 on mine, I like going back into the creeks during high tide I can get in some of the time but have to be really careful to be out in time. I know someone mentioned a jack plate, how much might that help with my situation?

my buddy threw out the anchor a few months ago without tying it off, lucky we had two anchors........you know who you are if your reading this and presidents day is coming up and I'm hoping we may be able to put together a trip. Gotta love the bank holidays!
