I am looking at purchasing a Spot satellite device but wanted hear from someone that has one first. Any pros/cons? Also does anyone knows if this device will notify Sea Tow incase of engine failure. I looked at their web site but couldn’t find a definitive answer.
Thanks

Re: Grouper?????
It has been my experience that when it gets real cold the fish go farther off shore. I fished in 40 to 60 feet of water yesterday and nothing. Nominally I would be fishing in 20 to 30 feet if we hadn't had that prolong cold snap. The water was also very dirty do to the high seas/wind. Maybe 8 foot v...

Re: At Least The FWCC Officers Checked Me!!!
Got down to Mashes Sands at 8am and got out without a problem. The way the tide was dumping out though if I would have been any later their would have been problems.

Grouper?????
On Monday I took a look at NOAA forecast to see they were calling for 1-2 foot seas. Then I looked at my calendar and realized there really wasn’t anything pressing going on with work so I decided to take the day off to see if there were any grouper around. Got down to Mashes Sands at 8am hoping we ...

Re: Landing question
I went out of Hook Wreck Henry's last year and messed up my prop on the rocks. Don't think I am going to try that again. I guess I just have to wake up early and hope the fish still bit through the slack tide.

Landing question
NOAA is predicting 1-2 foot seas tomorrow. Looked at the tides and it is a negative .20 at 10am. This is too low for me to launch out of Mashes Sands unless it has been dredged lately. What other landings are close by that can handle a 19"CC with that low of a tide. I am not looking to go out o...

12ga Charles Daly, synthetic stock black, 3”chamber lightly used. Several years ago I purchased this gun from Wal-Mart while out of town. I just needed something to hunt with for the day. Gun works great although it has been several years I shot it. I want to say I paid around $340 for it. Will trad...

Re: Okuma VS Inshore Spinning Reel
I have two Okuma Salina, a 55 and 35. At first I loved them but after 2 seasons of use I wish I would have chosen something else. On the back of the reel there is a cap held in by one screw. Once you take the cap off the gears are exposed. I assumed the manufacture built it this way so it would be e...
