Re: Throwing cold water on somebody's nice catch...

I am familure with the 5 steps and would say anyone in the first two aren’t true sportsman yet. They don’t have the experience or knowledge to understand the true meaning of those words yet. That isn’t my real problem with this post though. It’s not even that someone’s wife, kid or grandmother kept ...

Salty Gator I completely agree with you about releasing a breeder trout and it is extremely disappointing to see people on this forum chastise you for that comment. I guess that’s just one of differences between a true sportsmen and meet hunters.

Re: FISHING WITH JIGS OFFSHORE

If you use Gulp instead of dead bait you don't have to worry about it. They last longer and provide a much better action.

Re: I'm not sayin.....just reporting a news story.

There used to be a guy here who was legendary for his attempts to cheat in kingfish tournaments. He went to prison, but not for cheating at the tournament. I hear he turned it arround in prison and is now in ministry , so their is hope. Legend has it that he showed up to a weigh dock and they found...

Re: trout info

I was out of saint marks. The trout were on rocks in between St Marks reef and Bog Ballard in 20' of water. Oh and we did catch a couple cobia in 30' of water.

trout info

I really don't fish for trout but since most of you do I thought I'd share a little info. I was cobia fishing on Sat. on the way in we stopped by some natural bottom in 20' and drifted over it bouncing big jigs off the bottom. Every drop produced a 19"-21" trout. Just thought you guys migh...

The Weekends Progression

Over the last month or so all my fishing trips have focused on the offshore species verses inshore. It’s been fun but with a freezer full of grouper, cobia, trigger and hogs it was time to switch things up with a little inshore action. Sat my fishing partner was good old dad. We met up in Tally at 7...

Re: Window sash weights free

I have one that is 5lbs and use it as an anchor for my kayak. It holds well and doesn't bring up a ton of mud and grass when you pull it up.

Re: small outboard issue

Thanks guys for the suggestions. After doing about everything I could pertaining to fuel blockage without success I went back to the spark plugs. It turned out one of the plugs was only working part of the time. I replaced them and now the engine works good as new. Thanks again.

small outboard issue

I’ve been experiencing motor issues on a small outboard I own and was hoping one of you might be able to give me some advice on how to fix it. I can take it to the mechanic but before doing so I’d like to see if this is something I can fix, that is with a little help from my forum friends. The motor...

Re: Where are the cobia?

They are starting to show up now. I took a few days off work last week to take advantage of the great weather. On 3 of the 4 trips I took I saw cobia. All in state wasters.

Re: Sight fishing reds

I've only seen a couple in the last three trips out. I think they are off shore spawning at the moment but could be wrong. I say this because normally I do a few AJ trips this time of year and always end up catching several slot reds in the process. (20 miles out) The sheephead have been on fire tho...

Re: February 2013 Tournament Results – Saint Marks Outfitter

SG: Yep, that was me. You guys were in a small green jon boat 200 yards away, right? You were actually in one of my favorite spots. Did you get any action once the tide started in? I was blanked on reds until incoming. lots of big trout in that hole but no reds. The sheephead were on fire. Picked u...
