So far so good. Fortunately we were not heavily impacted. Prayers go out to all of those who were.
On a lighter note, I can't wait until I am able to get out to catch a fish. I hope my schedule and the weather cooperate soon.

Redfish Bite is Heating Up
Y'all need to get out to the flats and creek mouths. I went out with a friend on 9/15/24 and after plundering a few creeks while trying to get a little relief from the unexpected stiff breeze, we found a bunch of reds. We lost count after 34. Most of the fish were caught on spoons, and every one of ...

That's a great tribute, sir. It reminds me how fortunate I/we are to be able to experience this wonderful and awesome patch of God's creation. He/I/we, are and were truly blessed.

Re: Handheld VHF Radio Advice
Most hand held VHF radios only have 5-6 watts of transmitting power. Unfortunately this means you have an unobstructed range of 5-10 miles. Where you can receive Coast Guard or weather transmissions from hundreds of miles away, that does not mean they can hear you. In order to extend your transmitti...

Re: Trophy-sized sailcats!
Another great day on the water!! While I too catch a few fish that are not my target species, it is great to get that pull on the line. I'm sorry that I don't have any TT strategies for you as I am not very good at targeting them. It's that old dog new tricks thing.

Re: Looking for dock pilings @ St Mark's
Have you looked into PVC (filled with concrete) ? I am not sure if it is cost effective, but it might be more durable and more readily available.

It's like that sometimes, but I always enjoy being on the water and seeing the sights. I'm glad you were able to get out and catch a few.

Re: This forum is dead
My buddy and I went out Sunday 3-31. We launched at the lighthouse and went to a couple of creek mouths. The water was flat calm and 65 degrees. We caught a few fish before the tide made us move out to the flats. We found trout in 4-5 feet of water. They were aggressive. After about 20 trout and a c...
