Cedar Key inshore: New Year break

Over the holidays we spent some time in Cedar Key doing various things with the kids. About three weeks ago I removed my propped lower unit and reinstalled the jetfoot (and a Power-Pole). Since then I’ve continued my quest of getting to know the ins & outs of the Cedar Key creeks and inshore b...

Very nice CP. Your young boys will remember those trips with fondness. Great job! It’s funny how the hum of running back home puts em out. You did well.

Very nice. It does look like a sweet day on the water. You’ve got the makings of some fine dinners. I love those Blk Cbass.

Looking good birddog. And pretty comfortable I might add.

How do we know that’s not the same red? It looks like the same one in the first picture-just facing a different direction and stepped on to make it look longer (?).

Very nice.

Dec 13 06 Cedar Key offshore. A young boys intro to grouper

This trip was the best grouper fishing trip of my life and I didn’t even catch a single legal grouper. I’ve been waiting for this day with great anticipation, to introduce my son Casey (7 yrs old) to a family of fish that I dearly love, grouper. Casey’s been offshore a few times with his young...

Tom, now that’s a stellar trip! And in 25 feet. This time of the year for grouper rules. Those are some hefty shallow water grouper. I enjoyed reading about your day and the U/W account of the spot. It’s always neat to see tails and eyes hiding looking back at you under those ledges. Did you hav...

Cedar Key weekend & FLR (first legal redfish). Nov 25-26

With the wifer in Chicago I took the kids & the dawg to Cedar Key for the post turkey day holiday weekend. Saturday afternoon we dropped off two crab traps and went to Corrigan’s Reef but only managed a single trout (16â€

EJ, sounds like an excellent day on the water. Good for you for having an early day. I just can’t seem to stop fishing when I’m out there and come in early. Guess that means I don’t get out enough …….? I agree with your comment about trolling and meat fishing. Certainly bottom fishing rule...

Very nice Tom. You’re a lucky dog. Any time you can get your children out there it’s a good day.

Great photo. I love those on-the-water shots.

Wanted: Small Go Devil or Mud Buddy motor

A friend of mine is looking for a used mud motor. He’s looking for a small mud motor from about a 6 to 9 horsepower. If you hear about or know of any please let me know.

PM’s don’t work for me as my Pop Up Blocker cuts them off.
