Anyone have an update on the St. Joe Bay scallop situation? FWC web site says temporarily closed due to algae bloom but the latest report I find is dated August 4. Nothing since then that I can find.

Word is that the trout fishing is very slow right now because of the warm weather. However, when I was down there last week I did get a report of a local guide catching several keepers in the Black Island area. So, maybe there's some hope. Haven't heard nothing about spanish but then I haven't asked ...

Don't forget the backbone! That's my favorite part when I grill redfish. As for seasoning, I just use whatever seems good and/or is handy at the time. It's all good.

Bubba says -- Go out at night with a light and find the nest hole. Spray wasp spray down the hole or pour in some PVC glue, gasoline, etc. Should do the trick unless it's a really big nest.

Or you could call a professional which is probably the smart thing to do but I don't know anyone to recommend ...
