Re: Adios

I know you've been busy preparing for the move and will still have a lot to do when you get there but don't forget to pay the toll as you pass through. :-D

I was able to climb in the boat for the first time since the surgery this morning so got it out, packed up and ready to ship. I'll PM those interested.

Re: Humminbird HELIX 7 CHIRP SI GPS G2N Fishfinder and Chartplotter

Not yet but there are a couple of people who said they want it. Problem is because of a knee replacement 9 days ago, I haven't been able to remove it from the boat yet. Probably going to be a few more days before I can climb in the boat.

Re: Good areas for a novice "captain"

I second geofish's advice. Go slow, stay in the channel and tilt the lower unit up as far as you safely can... but no matter what precautions you take, if you spend enough time on the water you're going to hit something again sooner or later. :-D

Re: Found: Cast Net

THANKS! Considering your prop picked it up and it took a knife to get it off, it's probably destroyed beyond repair. I need a 5' square section of small mesh to complete a trap. I doubt it, but if by chance there's that much left I could certainly use it.

Re: Found: Cast Net

If no one claims it... I need a 5' section of cast net mesh as a bottom to a turtle trap. I'd be willing to pay a small fee plus shipping. You could keep the weights.

Re: Trailering Opinion: play/slop is what kills your bearings.

Great advice but I have to disagree with one point... imo the castle nut should be snugged down just enough to remove any play in hub assembly and if at that point it should cover the cotter pin hole, then (no matter which side) it should be backed off just enough to insert the cotter pin. If the ca...

Re: SPANISH MACKS

The rules change almost every day it seems so I'm only 99% sure they're legal bait as long as they meet the length requirements and you don't have more than the legal limit onboard. Billfish love em. :-D

Re: New Killswitch Requirement

I'm sure to get a ticket if I don't order a wireless kill / man overboard switch. :bang_1 They should be required on every motor propelled craft anyway.
