rockyg wrote: June 22nd, 2021, 4:18 pm Replacing SS latches is not an inexpensive project. They were $60 per on my 1820 Action Craft..... times 7.

But......it's a boat. :smt007
So true but when the same latch sells for $36 at one place and $12 at another....it's a no brainer. :(

Re: Locking latches

Thanks Chris... You're better at searching than I am.. my searches didn't show anything close. I believe the one in the 2nd link is the right lock. I already had an account with them and got em on order!
reelbad, the only print I could find on the locks says "LOCK" lol

Re: Locking latches

I may have to call Scout but I hate dealing with dealers so thought if they're still available, I might find them or someone would know where to get some.

Locking latches

Anyone seen these for sale anywhere? They're on a 162 Scout skiff. I don't have the keys and need to replace all three locking latches but haven't found the right size. They're 2" long x 1-3/4" wide and the bar underneath is 4" long. Thanks https://uniim1.shutterfly.com/ng/services/me...

Re: Is this a chocolate snapper?

I know folks in the panhandle that call mangrove snapper black snapper, some call them grey. They are black in the cooler, grey underwater. I call them dimmer. I don’t know what the tourist black snapper is. I guess grey is "dimmer" than black. lol :-D Just pulling your chain David. I've ...

Re: Is this a chocolate snapper?

I can relate to the advanced age thing but picking the right day and conditions has nothing to do with our age... it's just smart! :-D I go outside the pass maybe four or five times a year and then only when the conditions are right and most of those trips are hunting cobia closer to shore. Good luc...

Re: Xpress Shallow Water Bay 22

I have what is probably a dumb question and maybe a concern for anyone buying a "metal" boat: The last aluminum boat I had was a Triton bass boat... The hull was glass but the deck, lockers, lids, etc were all aluminum. On hot days, the deck would get so hot it would blister your feet. No ...

Re: Is this a chocolate snapper?

The ole Pink Mouth Snapper (aka Grunt) has saved many a trip. "Pink Mouth Snapper" and Grits just doesn't sound right! :-D Like bbb said, It's hard to believe a head boat out of PC didn't put you on some Red Snapper. It's usually hard to avoid them. I think I have all the public numbers o...

Re: Is this a chocolate snapper?

A lot of party boat mates either don't know what kind of fish it is or just want to make the tourists believe they caught something special. They like to call Porgys - Silver snapper and Beeliners - Pink Snapper to name a few. I've never heard of a Chocolate snapper but I talked to to couple of guy...

Re: BOTTOM MACINE QUIT WORKING

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have caught a few fish but nothing spectacular lately. My bottom machine quit working on Saturday while we were offshore snapper fishing. I think it's just the transducer but I don't want to spend any money on this unit. I am considering a Lowrance Elite FS9 wit...

He had to mean Florida pomps... unless he made a long run to the Keys and then the limit is 2. :-D
Great report! but you probably shouldn't say "snag" a redfish. :-D
