Re: Carr Lake Management
Your asking your question wrong. Most folks know very little about lake management. All lakes should be managed. But for what is the question? Pretending a lake can be managed for trophy fish of multiple species is tough. I vote Carr should be managed for trophy bass, and tranquil, peaceful activiti...

Re: It's time for him to go
Big Bend Gyrene just posted up that Winston got eaten by a Polar Bear. Any source of confirmation? :smt005 I heard the bear is claiming she was raped even though it seems to have eaten others besides Jameis that evening. She says rapist taste differently. Its how she knows which one raped her. Desp...

Re: It's time for him to go
. I hope Cotton acknowledges that FSU didn't have to sell their soul to the devil to win. Even most diehard fans aren't willing to do that. I had no problem with the punishment and thought it appropriate if applied equally to all players, and coaches (hmmm). I still do not feel it was appropriate t...

Re: It's time for him to go
OK, i'll play along. Lets mike-up the whole team 24 hrs a day. Will give each player 3 chances. With various punishment for each offense of being vulgar. Who's left playing on Sat?

Re: It's time for him to go
Wow!! Get your priorities straight. We have real criminals playing on every team. Yet, you want to boot a 19 year old for telling a dirty joke. Let the punishment fit the crime and move on.

Re: Big Guy in a Kayak.....need advice
Welby, Post this over on: http://www.fcka.net . You'll get a lot of input. You wouldn't come close to being the biggest guy at one of their events. If you have the money, there's a kayak for everyone. This one can handle 600 lbs: http://www.hobiefishing.com/mirage/mirage-pro-angler-14/ . I consider ...

Re: First time kayak fishing
The Big Bend has plenty of tributaries from the Suwanee River, northward and over to the Apalachicola River. The Apalachicola River Basin south of Sumatra has dozens of tributaries, before you reach Apalachicola Bay. I guess the current would often rule that out.. Check out the kayak launches on ht...

Re: First time kayak fishing
bpac, nice catch. Any of you Kayakers 63-65 yrs old? Age & weight won't be an issue. Your back issues might. Others say kayaking helps their back. I would suggest to everyone who thinks they might like fishing from a kayak, attend one of the free demos at TNT. Paddle or pedal one of the many an...

Re: First time kayak fishing
What a great first trip. Sounds like your off to a great start. First off I can't seem to keep my reels out of the water and even with rinsing/soaking its eating them up. Elevate your rod holders. Buy a milk crate and mount some pvc. I seem to pick windy days or they pick me. Either way its ruined a...
sailcats
Do your part and fry up a few. I use to eat them when I fished out of a boat. Fried there better than many things I've eaten. I can't think of a way to safely and without the slime to harvest them in the yak.

Re: BIG BEND KAYAK CLASSIC
Just wanted to give some kudos to all the folks that put on this event. Had a wonderful time. Awesome food and fun. I'd paddle a bath tub before I would miss this next year.

paddle or pedal
I also have both. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I fish my paddle yak in shallow water lakes, creeks and river. My pedal yak exclusively in saltwater. I love the hands free fishing of the pedals and the open deck of the paddle. Consider where your going to use it. Your decision could be ver...
