Re: GPS Bottom Machine Question
i had the same issue with my humminbird taking a while to locate my gps position and after about a dozen trips it went out all together. i ended up buying a external gps puck and that fixed the problem. it was around 100$ and was a much better option for me than buying a whole new unit. i have had i...

Re: How to make shock leader
take a look at this post Braid to Fluoro Knot- The FG knot? this will be the best knot to use with a shock leader. if you are targeting bigger sharks the shock leader does 2 things. 1) it does what it says and adds some shock absorption beacause the mono will stretch a lil and your braid and wire wi...

Re: Shout Out to Reel Repair by Jim

Re: Braid to Fluoro Knot- The FG knot?
i have been using this knot for a few months now and really like it. i was searching for an alternative to using a wind on leader on some of my offshore rigs when i came acros this knot. i have tested this on big ajs and have straightened out several hooks and the knot stood up to the abuse. there a...

You can download navionics on your smartphone. It will cost 10-15$ it will have the same info the 150$ chip has on it . Use the phone out on the water for a trip or 2 and keep your tracks going on your lowrance to mark some safe routes.

Oh almost forgot Padgett. Nice job on the spotted red. How big was it? We caught around 2 dozen but none had any size to them.

Re: Camping by boat..
There is a really cool little camping spot back in chaires creek. this place is a hidden little gem. I have never camped there but have pulled the boat a couple times. You can find some more info on the bald point website.

Re: Spot tails for grouper bait
this posts is great! i've wondered the same thing, why don't these "spot tails" work good? to me they look and act just like pinfish, but i rarely have had success on them. now days when we are baitfishing for any offshore species i dont't even bother putting them in the livewell.
