Cedar Key would be a great place to try out. I lived in Gainesville for a few years and fished that area about 2-3 times a week. Lots of fish out on the flats and more than enough creeks and oyster bars to keep you busy. IMO it is one of the best areas around to fish.

I was able to make it out to Oyster Bay this past Saturday with a few family members. We fished the afternoon for about four hours in search of a few trout for the dinner table.
