Re: Gut check
I don't think they were parasites or at least not feeding on this redfish, the other way around. All worms were within the stomach of fish. I've seen worms in the flesh( intermediate stage of a tapeworm that ends up in a shark). Not the same worm I'm sure. B man, when you saw them in clear water, we...
Gut check
I looked in the stomach of a redfish caught yesterday and found something new for me. He was filled with small white worms. They were 2-3 inches long and about the diameter is spagetti. Almost like a white red worm.Ten to fifteen total and nothing else. I've never seen them before and there is certa...

Ignoring the weather man
The weather man was callin winds blowing about 15 out of the sw on Saturday. Konrad and I decided to go in hopes that the weather man was wrong. We put in at the fort about 9:30. Well he was wrong, the wind was a stiff 20-25. We fished a few spots in the st marks river and did nada. We eased out to ...

Re: Alligator Point
I don't fish he surf much( if at all), but I think the only fish in the surf on ap right now are whiting. I would try to fish the harbor if you can, especially if you can get to the oyster bars. I always come in by boat so I can't really tell you how to get back there without a boat, but I'm sure it...

Re: St. Marks Flats 2/18/11
Glad you got out. We did some sightfishing in lanark and turkey point. Same deal, no takers. Did manage 2 bulls near dog island. Like you said, shouldn't be long.

Re: St. Marks Reds
I hope to have a good report for you. Ps you did better than most last weekend. Tough fishing. There was a nfgfc tourney last weekend and about 15 out of 23 boats didn't weigh fish. We fished from 7:30 -2:00 and only managed 3 lower slot reds, 2 nice trout and a good flattie.

Re: St. Marks Reds
That's a great offer. I'd take you up this weekend, but already have plans to fish alligator point. The warmer temps may have them moving out of the rivers and around the bars and maybe the flats. I would try the bars in the mouth of the river once the water is moving. Also try stony bayou, a good c...

Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. I put my 22 pathfinder in a few yrs back without a problem. We'll be fishing a boat of similar size, think that will be ok?

Ochlockonee river boat ramp
Can anyone help?? There is a boat ramp on the northwest side of the ochlockonee bay. If you go down 98 and take a right at the BP ( heading toward the bridge) on surf drive ( I think). I know it is past the marina, but don't know the name of the road you would take a left on. I put in there years ag...
