Re: NFGFC Redfish Tournament 2/12/11

Thanks for the good thoughts. That was just the look of trying to figure out where to fish from shore.

Re: NFGFC Redfish Tournament 2/12/11

Great report JT, gives us amateurs some hope. Our ill fated destination was Stoney Bayou. North wind, won't make that mistake again. All we caught was a ghost crab trap. Thanks Tow Boat.

Re: No pee

On a 15 Yamaha, a piece like that got sucked up inside, took a little more repair that just replacing the impeller. Watch it closely.

Big Thank You to Mike's Marine

Quick post and a big thank you to Mike Falk Jr. @ Mike's Marine. Active readers will know that Lucas lost our prop over the break. Mike's not only had the parts, but Mike delivered, installed, and actually met us on our way to what was a really hot spot (unfortunately only for others), over the brea...

Re: What the problem is?

"Sounds like someone put bananas in your lunch box." Actually, no bananas, as Dad wasn't along. I always take a banana with me, never knew about the "curse" until reading it on here a while back. Luc's had all the luck, the good and the bad. He's had to deal with a number of thin...

Re: St. Marks great day

Those are some beauties. You guys must have been beat. Nothing like getting into them on your first bait. This year, the f. mullet seem to rule. Not going to ask location, but that seems to be the key. We only encounter this in certain places, but it never ceases to amaze. Luc has developed a techni...

Solo Sunday - Tuckered out

Luc wanted me to post, so here goes. Whole new ballgame with him in Pensacola. Late Saturday night cancellation left me with 2 choices - stay home and wish I was fishing, or go it alone for my first time. I chose the latter, and it was quite a day. I'm still sore from wrestling with good fish. Littl...

Re: St marks 8-18

Had a somewhat similar unknown Sunday, picked up a big finger mullet and took off. Line broke. Seconds later 100 yards away, a big (red) fish jumped in the air with a shark close behind it. Just a coincidence?, I think not. Hope "he" made it.
