Re: Motor cutting out
I had this same problem about 6 months ago. My problem ended up being the anti siphon valve that is connected to the fuel pickup tube. It is a 90 degree fitting on the top of my gas tank. Inside this fitting is a pinball that is suppose to float when gas is flowing and fall when it is not. My pinbal...

Re: Spray-in liner for new aluminum hull
I had a weldbuilt with the lining in it and loved it. It was easy to maintain, cooler on the feet and slip resistant. Just be sure to get a light color so when you're out in the sun it does not get hot.

Re: Fishing Saturday 4/12/14
We started around 9:30 and had 8 trout keepers by 12. After 12 the bite turned off for us and didn't catch anything else but big sail cats.

Re: Fishing Saturday 4/12/14
I am going to try out Econfina for the first time this Saturday. I have been fishing St. Marks the last five years so I think it is time to try out a different location. I am tired of the new boaters in St. Marks. I have never understood why boaters have to get within 50 yards of you while fishing w...

Re: GPS/Fishfinder combo
Thanks everyone. I believe I am going to go with the Elite 7. I like the Garmin 740s but at $799 without transducer that is a little more than I want to spend. You can get a mail in rebate for either $100 or $200 at Bass Pro for Lowrance products and that pretty much buys the Navionics gold.

Re: GPS/Fishfinder combo
Thank you Squirm88. I agree with you about having a good chart and that is the main reason for wanting to upgrade.

GPS/Fishfinder combo
I am looking into upgrading my electronics and only spend about $700 on a new combo. So far, I am leaning towards the Lowrance Elite 7HDI. Does anyone have good or bad things to say about this machine? What machine would you prefer in this price range? Your feedback will be greatly considered in my ...

Re: Boat Cover Suggestions
I have the same boat and I just bought the one from Academy Sports two months ago. It comes with the straps that you can clip on, like a life vest clip, and pull to tighten. They also claim you can leave the cover on when traveling. Its big enough to go over the motor and cover the sides. I have als...

Re: Another 13' Gheenoe Rebuild
Here is a number of a guy looking to sell his 15 hp mercury. 509-8707. It came off of his gheenoe and said it was perfect. All i know is that you don't have to use the full 15hp but it sure is nice when you are loaded and need it.
