Re: Buying a boat for the big bend.. What is typical up ther
I have a Pathfinder 2200 and, in my opinion, it is a good boat for what you are describing. I have been in pretty shallow water with it and a trolling motor still moves it along well. I have also been offshore in it. As stated above, I would still pick my days to take it offshore. Keep an eye on the ...

1997 Hewes Bayfisher - sold
I hate to let it go, but the family is growing and so is the boat. I have a 1997 Hewes Bayfisher for sale. It has a 1997 Yamaha 90 HP, 2004 Magic Tilt trailer, 6 foot Power Pole Pro Series, Minn Kota iPilot trolling motor, trim tabs, Optima cranking battery (maybe a year old), Minn Kota on-board ...

Re: Appliance repair person?
Thanks for all the replies. JT - I sent you a PM
If JT can get the ice maker working, I will happily share a fishing hole. Although, from everything on this forum, I may have been borrowing his fishing holes all this time.

Re: Ochlockonee Camping and Fishing?
We have been catching trout and reds (and one big black drum) around the docks along Surf Road in the bay. There are some good holes and oyster bars in front of some of the docks. They were biting on frozen shrimp under a cork and on a jig head a week or so ago. There were also quite a few ...

Re: Fishing guide in Jax
Per Silverking's recommendation, my son and I went out with Captain Don Dingman this past Saturday in Jacksonville, and the trip was everything I was hoping for. My 8 year old boy and I caught 11 redfish all 30 plus inches, including one that was around 42 inches that my son brought in all by ...

Re: Fishing guide in Jax
Thanks guys! I called Captain Tommy today, and unfortunately he is booked on the only day that we can go. I intend to call Captain Ron tomorrow to see if he is available. If not, you all know anyone else over there? I have had hit and miss experiences with guides, and I really want this one to go ...

Re: Fishing guide in Jax
galantnole - it will just be my son and I. Although he is only 8 years old, his passion is fishing and he is pretty darn good at it. So, I am looking for an inshore guide to try and land some of those October redfish. We are not looking for the party boat type thing. Thanks

Fishing guide in Jax - updated with pictures
My family will be staying in Ponte Vedra in a couple weeks. I am looking for a good inshore fishing guide in the area. I need to find someone that does not mind fishing with kids as the fishing trip is a reward for my son for various good things he has done. He is extremely excited, and we are both ...

Shark question
Last weekend my 8 year old son and I were fishing near the mouth of Ochlockonee Bay. All of a sudden his drag was screaming like crazy. I turned around to see a huge splash and my first thought was he hooked a Tarpon. However, after taking a ton of line, the fish jumped a couple more times and it ...
