Re: Back to basics
Well done Pops. Countless reds have been pulled out of that area by the Williams Boys for years and years now. Here are the pics from Saturday. http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac121/lbw0313/Popsreds_zps128d0f3e.jpg http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac121/lbw0313/Popsreds2_zpsf3df421b.jpg

Still have the net. Would like to move it in the next week before I head back to Pensacola. Price is negotiable.

Re: Man Missing in Boat capsize.
Hate hearing this. Believe it was in the St. George area based on what a buddy told me. Praying for a safe return of the boater and all law enforcement personnel.

7 Foot Radius Fitec Super Spreader Cast Net
Bought this cast net a couple years back. Threw it maybe twice ever. It has 1 inch mesh holes which are too big for what we would ever throw it for. Seems like it may be good for mullet. $25 or best offer. Can contact me at 850-933-6755. http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac121/lbw0313/Castnetforsal...

After putting in about 80 hours of work this week for my internship and doing my part to help host the Capital City Invitational, it was time to fish once we wrapped that up today. Thankfully we had good weather and no softball was delayed, so when I got out of there at a reasonable hour today I ran...

Plan was to get up early, head west and find some migrating poons. Debated long and hard whether we should go for tarpon today or reds, decided for tarpon and then pole for reds when the sun got up. Pops and I woke early and left the house a little after 4:30. We were the first boat at Lanark and gr...

Re: May 16-Topwater til Sunset
Did not launch at Lighthouse yesterday, I did on Wednesday afternoon with very similar results. Yesterday we put in bottoms road area, don't remember seeing any houses or Johnny Rivers. We saw some rivers of mullet though.

May 16-Topwater til Sunset
Got out with my Dad again today as soon as we both got off work. Headed to spot number one and my Dad gets a red on topwater on the first cast. It is a good fish but heading right for the anchor line that I dropped as soon as he hooked up. Fish wraps itself around the anchor three times and we strug...

Re: Apalachee bay fishing advice
One Keeper is correct. For reds, STRUCTURE is key. There is plenty of it to be found out there around the Lighthouse, just have to do some exploring. Also, as he said, be careful when exploring.

No worries, I'm sure our paths will cross again. We only managed a couple trout to bring home also, reds measured big enough to swim free.

Yessir that was us. We saw two sea chasers pulling out so I'm sure one of them was you. Definitely a big storm with some nasty lightning. Glad we all got out before the bottom really fell out.
