Dove three times in and around Rock Garden Thursday. Only spent a total of 30 or so minutes in the water, but I did not see a single one. I was between 3 to 6 feet. So do you have to secure these traps to the holes they are already using? Or do you simply hang it near their hive and wait for them to investigate the trap and get stuck?

I don't believe that to be typical tidal patterns for a flat. That bottom gets exposed in extreme negative tides. I know as I have had to walk my canoe back before. Those images may have been taken soon after one such tide and you are just seeing where the water channeled. Either that or aliens. Yea...
