Re: July 19-Lighthouse

Saw the lights on and cars in the driveway this morning as the wife and I were taking our morning walk. I mentioned that we'd met last week and knew what y'all were up to. Told her I have to go fishing this weekend before you and your buddies catch em all! Good job!

Re: Battery Suggestions

Heading to the Parts House in a few hours to get two new AC Delco Voyager batteries.
Won a battery tender at the BBF picnic so I'll be good there.
Again, thanks for all the suggestions from the crowd.
Makes a world of difference when you're new at this.

Battery Suggestions

Need to replace both 12 volt batteries on my G3 and am looking for suggestions as to what to buy. The batteries are original to the boat and the previous owner purchased it in Dec 05, put a few hours on it and then it sat until now. Have an older trolling motor with 40 lbs of thrust. Thanks in advan...

She followed me and the Army all over creation and into retirement. Wevans....congratulations to you and your bride! Y'all h...

Re: GPS recommendations

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll use the handheld and see how that goes but I'm figuring I'll need one of the units that RC, Silverking and the rest mentioned. I do have my readers :o but a larger screen always helps. I've made a list of what's been recommended so that I can use it for futur...

GPS recommendations

Been a kayaker for a long time but took the plunge into the boating world. Just bought a 17’ G3 and need to know what you’d recommend for a gps/depth finder. There are a lot out there on the market and don’t want to get more than what is really needed. I already have a handheld Garmin but need a scr...

Re: MEMORIAL DAY - THANKS

Monday we honor those servicemen and women who are no longer with us. Let us never forget those who gave their life during conflict and those to passed due to injuries suffered, both physical and mental. It pains me to see the young who are not taught to respect and remember those who wore the unifo...

Re: Shipyard south of 98 on St. Marks?

This is a great history lesson.
Keep up the good work Wevens.
I really enjoy learning about the history of the Big Bend area.
So much went on around here that most have forgotten about.
