Happy Birthday bman
silverking wrote:It was beautiful on the water today. But it was absolutely sweltering back at the wash rack. Sweet gum leaves are turning, love bugs and butterflies are out in force. Cooler weather is just around the corner!!
I sure hope so!

Re: Cast net repair

I second reel bad. Mutt Gilliam and his family are great people and they build quality nets and stand behind them. You can drop at JR's and he'll repair and take it back up there for you to pick up.

That rod put those fish in that box flatsbroke. Very nice. I can sling a bait a mile with that thing. Can't wait to use it this fall and winter in the creeks. You have a repeat customer fo sho.

Later Friday night I went out with a neighbor on his airboat and cast-netted 22 nice mullet in the creeks. It was a 0 tide and b...

Econfina 6-2-18

Had boat trouble Friday so was unable to fish. Never knew I had a tiny inline fuel filter that requires a baby midget to replace under the cowl of my Suzuki DF60. But alas, I do. So a friend who was fishing Saturday generously offered me and my crew,(which consisted of 2 newbie anglers, father and s...

Re: Vacation this week

Not trying to hijack but I was about to start a similar thread so I thought I'd just piggy-back. I'll be fishing out of Econfina. I'm taking a friend and his 12 year old son. Neither have ever been saltwater fishing. I usually fish my normal spots according to conditions. Usually shallow. I'm not cr...
