Going out of Shell Point, you will find that the water gets deeper to the West. Southwest will be the best direction to head. Actually, bull sharks have been confirmed as far north up the Mississipi River as Alton Il and over 2,600 miles up the Amazon. Just got a report from a wade fisherman that the trout are coming back around the river again. He said he caught several nice trout of topwater in front of the light house today along with quite a few spanish.

The water is badly stained all the way to about 8 miles South of the mouth. The reds shouldn't be bothered too much but I've been having to run way East and fish deep for the trout.

We had a similar thing happen a couple weeks ago but they were blowing up on topwaters! They were in a crazy frenzy.

Less of a chance to breed before harvest. And as the numbers drop to lower then it would have been in mid July normally breeding is less successful. When there are lots around as a mass, better fertilzation happens. Drop the numbers earlier, we'll see what it does to the scallop population just so ...
