Re: Started this season's foodplot.
Plots look good. Food plotting is fun for sure and I'm not trying to say you are wrong or come across the wrong way but I don't understand why folks plant fall/winter seeds way early. the stuff comes up and looks pretty but by the time the food in the woods is gone the plot is tall, tough and not as...

Re: Mullet Are Good
I've got 6 about 13" in my cooler that were swimming yesterday and will take a hot grease bath this afternoon :lick: :lick: As for the cut bait question.... Smoke mullet, take them fishing with you, pull smoked mullet out, cut a finger off and put on hook, eat smoked mullet to forget about your...

Re: Started this season's foodplot.
Getting that time... I won't plant mine until the end of Oct though. Use to plant early and they would get to tall and non palatable for the deer to eat by mid season when it was warm.

Love fishing heavy cover with frogs. What are you doing with your right had when you cast? Looks like you are bringing it back to you but can't tell what for.

Re: Deer stand problem.
This is why I don't attach these type stands to a tree. It's not a matter of if, it's when will this happen... It needs to be sitting on a platform or on 4 legs braced very well. Good luck.

Should of never sold your boat
I know where a river hawk is that has a split transom that you could get for cheap and fix.

Re: Home made stick it anchor
A guy that makes them gave me one at a mud run 2 weekends ago with a PVC T handle. He calls them spud poles. Lots of boats had them and they worked good. I use bamboo currently but if this one works as good I'll get 3 more to replace the bamboo.

Re: Venture scouts scallop report Steinhatchee 7/14 Photo su
Very cool The first timers will remember that forever.
We were there Friday/Saturday and all the trout wee .5" short but the scallops were still thick even in 7'. Got our 8 gal in 1 hour. I saw a few of those sea hag rentals going in and out.

Re: Wacissa river tips
The main river channel is open, just idle down and you will be good. if the river is low look for rocks.
