Re: Best style boat for the area?
If you like the contender and yellowfin offshore boats, but want a bay boat check out the blackjack bay boats. I don't personally own one, but I have heard good things.

Re: Lake Iamonia
Yeah it's very low. I backed my trailer into the water about 25 yards, and the boat was well above the water line. Carrying your boat to the water from the trailer is about the only way you can launch right now.

Re: Lake Iamonia
That's what I was afraid of. I heard some people weren't even able to launch a boat. Thanks for the report.

Lake Iamonia
How are the water levels on Lake Iamonia? I haven't been in about 2 months, but I heard they are pretty low.

Re: St. Marks 7/22 - scallops
Anyone have an update on St Joe Bay? Would like to go there next week...[/quote]
Was down at St. Joe a couple days ago caught a few fish, but scallops were everywhere.

Re: River fishing
Thanks for the help. I used to fish the Ochlockonee, but it was a very narrow stretch that we would wade in.

River fishing
Are there any rivers around the south Ga north Fl area decent for bream, catfish, bass? I have always fished the flats at st. marks out of the shell island fish camp on the wakulla and seen bass around the docks. I usually fish Iamonia and Micc., but I love to catch a mess of bream on a river. I hav...

Lanark
Fished out of Lanark this past weekend (thanks for the help with the ramp). Did well early. Started out right as the sun was rising. First stop and a tarpon immediately rolled next to the boat. Hadn't had time to catch pinfish yet and wasn't interested in topwater plugs. Ended up drifting for trout....
Re: Lanark
Good deal, glad I asked ha ha.
Re: Lanark
Thanks for the help, I am pretty sure I remember that place now. Are there any major obstacles to keep a look out for from that ramp. I have a pretty good GPS so hopefully that will help. Planned on the ramp being pretty bad. Do you know when the earliest you can launch is? Didn't know if you had to...
Lanark
I am heading down to Carrabelle to visit some friends possibly this weekend. I will be taking a small bay boat down. I have read good things about tarpon and reds out of Lanark. I was wondering what boat ramp is the best for inshore? Or is it close enough that I should just launch from Carrabelle? I...
