Re: Johnson Splinter Spoons

A black Johnson silver minnow with a pork rind was king of the pads for bass back before hollow body frogs. Daiwa makes a sm...

Re: How to Fish Ochlockonee Bay?

Life's too short to fish off docks.

Wading will open up a pile of good fishing and requires nothing more than some old tennis shoes.

Every trout you've ever eaten had worms in it ;-)

Re: Missing Boater Located on St. Vincent Island

Even with this cool weather, he may be short a useful quantity of blood spending a night with no shelter over there. The mosquitos are biblical.

I've made a couple trips to the interior ponds there and both times the mosquitos could blot out the sun.

Re: Will trade creek glory holes for hints on where to net shrimp

Go out to the lighthouse, roll around in the mud. Drop by seafood house on the way back home and transfer a few lb of shrimp to a five gallon bucket with a handful of mud so it looks authentic. Come home dirty with tales of catching fresh shrimp.

Profit!

Re: New Killswitch Requirement

Well, since the Coasties or FWC will never be conducting a boat check while you're anything but stationary, and you're not required to use it while stationary or operating not on plane, I don't see how they will ever be able to enforce this.

Re: Piney-Z FADS added

Now they just got to handle the fish part. While back it got real low, not quite as low as 2012ish where you could walk the whole dike end to end and parts of the lake bed were dry, but pretty low and the water was clear by Piney Z standards. I stood up on my kayak and just cruised around on a calm ...

Re: snook at st marks

There's been several folks have caught good size ones in the St Marks area over the last few years, that's probably the biggest I've heard of though.

In the last month or so I've caught a 5, 5-10, 6-5 and an 8 on gold F-13 and F-18 Rapalas. They get it done!

Isn't going to change anything for me. JR needs our business now more than ever with all this going on.

Some people need to get a grip. It ain't the black plague. If it's been a few days and you aren't showing signs, you need to dial back the hypochondriac and get on with your life.

Re: St. Marks Refuge - Staying Open?

It's not a state park, it's a federal wildlife refuge so what the state of Florida decrees has no effect on it. I'm glad it's staying open.
