Re: anyone see anything wrong with this?

My only thoughts would be the size of the engine. Check to see what it's rated for and the width but I'm guess it'd be rated for between a 40 and a 50. 25 would seem a bit underpowered to me by the time you add gear and a second person.

Re: T-Top Install

With the fabric and 4 rod holders, the total weight is 75 lbs. for the top. I'll guess the aluminum will add at the most another 6 or 7 lbs.

T-Top Install

The wife and I got off to a pretty good start with the T-Top installation. Fishmaster T-Top - Since the boat is all welded and the floor is .100 thick, we beefed up the floor with .375 6061 aluminum as shown in the photo. Still have a two more small pieces to put down with 5200 and self tappers. All...

Re: thinking about getting a new boat...suggestions?

Sea Ark is a hell of a boat. Actually built like a damn tank. Before I bought my 1966 G3, I was looking for months for either a G3 or a Sea Ark. I also seriously considered the Xpress XB series which has the Hyperlift hull. Trying to find a Sea Ark in these neck of the woods with any size, is a tall...

Re: St. Marks Lighthouse 6.14

That it was... like glass. Not a ripple in the water till close to noon. Headed to the ramp about 12:30 and back in Tally just after 1:15 and the skies opened up.
Bailed out just in time lol.

St. Marks Lighthouse 6.14

The wife and I headed towards the lighthouse and got there around 8:30 and lines were in the water soon after. She was busy catching the fish and I was busy, taking her fish off the hook lol. Dead in front of the lighthouse about 1/2 mile off short in around 5' of water. Flat calm, fish were everywh...

Re: FS new Minn Kota 24v Riptide SE

These things always come up at the wrong damn time lol. I've got an MK PowerDrive 24V 70 I'd need to sell first and pretty much what I'd like but kind of use to the foot operated version and remote control. Pretty decent price though.

Thanks Steve, I have read over and over of many many horror stories. Setty, didn't snap any today but I will on Thursday. We're going to take a run at them by the lighthouse.

Surfix Bunk Slides

We just back from installing the bunk slides on my trailer for my 19' G3. Install was a breeze and I can assure you one of the MOST useful upgrades I've done on this or ANY boat trailer. Install took maybe 15 minutes and we put on 6 slides. The boat is fairly heavy and it's generally a chore to winc...
