Re: Memorial Weekend Inshore Weather

Take plenty of refreshments because that North wind will make for a slow bite. That it did. 1st cast, with a Gulp was a short. Slowed down for a good bit. Wife pulled in a short using Gulp. Daughters boyfriend switched over to a brown/white grub on a jig and started to get hits shortly after. Just ...

Re: Memorial Weekend Inshore Weather

Perfect timing with the post. I was just about to check the weekend weather. Going to head out to St. Marks and see what we can come up with.
Thank you.

Re: Fishmaster T-Top

Thanks for the input, I have had a bimini on a couple of boats and while nice they do have trade offs. If I wasn't worried about fishability with a bimini and was focused purely on the shade factor, I'd be looking at a bimini. I don't want to even think what would happen with a bimini and having to ...

Fishmaster T-Top

I'm seriously considering ordering a Fishmaster T-Top for my G3. I've read a ton of reviews and for the most part, 99 % positive. I've got a friend in Texas who has one and he's very happy with it. Just thought I'd shout out here to see if anyone has one and get some opinions. http://www.fishmaster....

Re: Navigation from Fort to Lighthouse

Thanks Rainman and I'll definitely take your advice. I've fished the lighthouse a couple of times and maybe 1/4 mi plus off shore just in front of it and all was well. Invariably I'll eventually find a rock lol and insurance is a good thing!

Re: Navigation from Fort to Lighthouse

Thanks for all the replies. I may give the LH a shot. I'll have to check with JumpTrout on a rental!

Navigation from Fort to Lighthouse

Ok, hopefully NOT a dumb question. I found Shield Marina in St. Marks on Google Earth and found what I think is the ramp at the "Fort".. pic below. Since my new to me boat does not have anything but a basic fishfinder until I can save a few more pennies for a Lowrance GEN 2, I'm wondering ...

Re: Ramp Input - St. Marks area

Thanks, I found Shields on Google Earth as well as Shell Island FIsh Camp. On a road named Old Fort Rd at the intersection with River Breezes St looks like a ramp right where the two rivers merge. Is that "the Fort" ramp ? Also running from there down river towards the lighthouse, is it ea...

Re: Ramp Input - St. Marks area

The "Fort" as it's called, is that ramp in the state park there or ? I found Old Fort Road and on google earth looks like a ramp area in the park. Ramp follies lol ? That should be just special. I should qualify for a free annual pass to the park if I read right being a disabled vet. Just ...

Re: Ramp Input - St. Marks area

Thanks for the continued input. If I can hit the tides right, I'm good with the lighthouse ramp but I'll avoid it at all costs with anything close to a low tide.
