Thinking about replacing a couple of aged Penn Battle Spinning Reels on some rods. Rod's are 7" medium action. Which Shimano reels would you suggest I look into ? Generally use Mono line and never been a fan of braid on spinning reels due to issues with it on my old bait casters lol

The better half and I are getting together with the daughter and son in law to be on Father's Day. They're in S. Florida and heading this way. They'd like to stay down in Cedar Key for the weekend and we're planning to take the boat with us - 1872 SeaArk CC. Never been there and looking for any good...

Going to give the St. Marks Lighthouse a go in the morning. High tide is at 0630. Does anyone know what time the gates open? Ideally want to get there before first light ?

Great report, we're going to splash the rebuilt SeaArk in the morning at the Lighthouse. May be a bit windy but going to give it a go.

Agreed on all accounts and they will BEAT you to DEATH - I put 12 x 12 Lenco Tabs on my SeaArk after a LOT LOT of reading and speaking with their engineers and owners and Ken at Propgods. Between those and a 4 blade prop, I'll be good to go.
