Re: Chokoloskee/10K Islands Camping Trip
A little late on the report, but I finally have some time to write it. First of all, the trip was a huge success. We left St. Cloud on a Thursday morning at 9:00 and made it down to the ENP Ranger Station in Everglades City at about 2:00. We obtained our permit for three nights. The permit cost $22 ...

Looking for a Scenic Ride
Hey y'all, My girlfriend and I both got new kayaks for Christmas. I'm more interested in using mine for fishing than anything, and I have some ideas as to where to go for that. She is more looking forward to taking them to springs, or something like that where we can just have a nice paddle with goo...

Re: Blair Wigging Flatz Blue inshore spinning rod and Reel
I remember last year when the new Dick's opened up on Apalachee Blair Wiggins was at the store and they were running the same promo but for $100. That was a great deal but $75 is even better!

Chokoloskee/10K Islands Camping Trip
Hey y'all, A couple buddies and I are going to be taking a trip down to the 10 Thousand Islands over Christmas break. We have talked about going down there for years, but this will be the first trip. Plan is to leave Orlando next Thursday and take two truck/boat combos down to Chokoloskee. We will b...

NWR- 10/21/14
Got out to a beautiful sunrise and a 7:30A low tide of 0.50 feet. My plan was to make my way east and wait for the tide to come in a little bit so that I could follow it into the creeks and chase redfish. Well, the tide did not cooperate. The wind was blowing out of the north and it really held the ...

Re: Painting my 1952 Orlando Clipper
My apologies Salty, it was a picture of my jon boat. My computer at work won't allow me access to photobucket, so I'll have to post pictures when I'm not at work.

Painting my 1952 Orlando Clipper
I have a 1952 14' Orlando Clipper. My great-Grandpa was the original owner. He bought the boat in Winter Park to be used as a ski boat on the Maitland Chain of Lakes, and gave it to my Grandpa somewhere along the way. My Grandpa gave it to me a few years ago when I came up to FSU. At some point in t...

Re: July 26th fishing and scalloping Keaton beach
We went to the Hatch on Saturday. Between a boat of six people, we only found between 40-50 scallops. Getting pretty thin out there. We moved around a bunch and talked to other people with the same results.

They're Here!! St. Marks 4/2/14
Went out of the lighthouse today. I was expecting horrible water clarity, but much to my surprise, the water was really clear. I noticed clean water all the way from about Horn's Creek as far east as I went, about Palm Island. Even out as far as the NWR Boundaries, the water seemed to be really real...

Wakulla Beach?
Why does it seem that no one fishes around Wakulla Beach? Specifically west of the St. Marks river and east of 367A? I just never seem to see any reports from that area. Is it lack of access? Maybe lack of fish? Both?

Is it safe to say that one of the best times of the year has officially kicked off? I've been seeing some good reports and hopefully can get out there this coming weekend.

Bedding Bass Report
I went home for spring break and did some fishing on the St. John's and surrounding lakes (Lake George area) and saw a lot of fish on beds and managed to catch some nice fish on the beds and other areas. Obviously, this got my freshwater fire burning and I'm gonna try Jackson this afternoon. Just wo...

Any water clarity reports?
Just wondering if anyone could tell me how clear the water is right now in the area. Looking at St. Marks/Aucilla specifically, but I would appreciate any input. Thanks
