Re: Lanark/Turkey Point 6-26
I'm glad you wrote about the tarpon, because I thought I may have seen one roll at Aucilla yesterday right in the mouth of the river.

Aucilla Thursday 6/27
Well, it takes a lot for me to write a report with no fish. Got to Aucilla around 2:00 to high winds out of the south. The whole way there it seemed calm, but as soon as I saw the river, I knew the gulf would be rough. Idle out to Gamble Point and go to drop the trolling motor in. Nothing. Ch...

Improvised Redfish Magic
I know that redfish magic are supposed to catch fish. So instead of buying one, I opened up the ole' freshwater tackle box and found a spinner bait and buzz bait. Cut the skirts off, and put a bass assassin on. I'm sure the spinner bait one will work, but I'm more curious in the buzz bait. Topwater ...

Aucilla Friday 6/21
First time out to Aucilla today. Had a little trouble finding the ramp, but it was more uncertainty than anything else. Was nervous as heck to get up on plane, so we idled around all day. Worked a lot of shoreline and saw a lot of fish... Water temp in the morning in the river was right around 77 de...

Re: Fishing Aucilla Tomorrow
Had a great day. Buddy caught a 26" red and I caught a 22" trout. Saw a lot of live action just had trouble getting hook ups. Aucilla seems fun and I'll definitely go back.

Fishing Aucilla Tomorrow
I'll be headed out to Aucilla for the first time bright and early. I'll be wearing my white and brown BBF cap, so if anyone sees me feel free to say hello.

Re: Finally leveled my Silverado
How hard was it to get that air thing off? I've been thinking about that. It seems pointless.

Re: Finally leveled my Silverado
Leveling kits were designed to clear a slightly larger tire if you ever wanted go a few sizes up, other than that its just for looks. A nose down 4x4 doesn't look as good as a leveled one. but in no means am I'm knocking leveling kits down because i have one on my truck ha I eventually want to get ...

Re: Finally leveled my Silverado
COULD NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE, LOOKED THE SAME, WHAT DID YOU DO. It is hard to tell a difference in the pictures. The kit is basically just two spacers that you bolt on in between the front strut and the lower control arm. This is different than some other kits where you put something on the coil. T...

Re: Finally leveled my Silverado
So the reason that they come stock lower on the front end is for when you tow large trailers or have heavy loads in your bed, it will "level" the truck for you. In my case, none of the trailers that I will be towing will make me ride too high in the front. It does give you more ground clea...

Finally leveled my Silverado
Okay, so I know there's not a lot of vehicle posts on here, but I finally installed a Rough Country 2" leveling kit on my Silverado. I wanted to put up some before and after pictures because I had trouble finding pictures of before and after that I liked before I did it. The kit is about $65 an...

Re: Lake Hall 6/10/13
Good point. I guess I just get stuck in the rut of thinking that the only thing I could catch when I go fresh is bass.

Just out of curiosity, why do you like bream fishing so much? Do you ever bass fish?

Re: mosquito lagoon questions
This is home waters for me too. One important piece of advice is that the area gets really busy. Also, the south end by Whale's Tail is unmarked, so be careful running. Should only be sand down there no oysters. Also, the guides think that they own the lagoon, so do your best to move right in on the...
