16 Ft. Aluminum w/40 HP Yamaha -- SOLD

1988 Landau with 40 Yammy, stick steering, trolling motor. This boat belonged to a family friend that passed away a few years back. I have only owned it since 2007 but I have fished on it since it was new. When I got it I stripped it down to the hull, made some minor repairs, gave it a heavy duty ...

Went offshore Saturday and killed the grouper again, 3rd trip in a row. Last Friday and Saturday they bit during the middle of the day, but this time they didn't bite until late. We were throwing them in the floor and rebaiting as fast as we could because we were running low on daylight--we had to ...

I was going to go try and stick one last night, but goofed around working on stuff around the house too long. Where did you get that light rig?

Dang. I came across the 98 bridge Tuesday evening and I thought I saw dry ground where the river used to be. I figured it was just a case of "not seeing what I thought I saw", but apparently I did.

Too bad I just bought one a few weeks ago. Mine is a Seastar, but it looks like the one in your picture. I damaged mine removing the steering wheel, which was seized to the shaft.

If anybody buys this, the only seal that should normally go bad is the one around the steering shaft. You can replace ...

Mashes Sands 3/9

I haven't posted in a while so I guess I should stop lurking and start contributing.

Got on the water this morning a little after 7:00. Shot across the bay and started killing the trout. Picked up two good keepers and probably 20 to 25 that were 14"+ and had to go back. Wind was out of the west but ...

I've got a 94 Century 24 foot. Twin 130 Yammy's on bracket. In good shape with all the goodies and everything works good. I haven't actually put it on the market yet, but I would take about $16,500 for it. PM me I can send you pics and more details if you are interested.

On my small boat I put a piece of plywood across the trailer right behind the winch where the channels spread--forward of the front roller where the rise in the bow doesn't hit it. It gives me a big platform to step out onto when I'm loading up.

Aquaman, definitely do as qoutrage said and check the reservoir on the motor. The oil tank on the boat should have a pump mounted on the side of it that pumps oil back to that reservoir where it is then fed to the motor. If that pump goes bad, you could still have oil in the tank on the boat, while ...

Here's an update. The Loran was the connector for the antenna cable. I replaced the connector and now the Loran is working fine. Everything I did to verify the condition of my power at the console checked out good, so I ran some wires back to the battery and hooked the GPS up directly--still locks ...

Reason to have a compass

Wanted to see if anybody had any suggestions on this one.

Friday on the way out of St. Marks, just a few miles out of sight of land, I started having problems with electronics. The GPS just started turning off by itself, then the fish finder did the same. They were both on the same hot terminal, so ...
