Re: Lake Iamonia

I'm not gonna give my method away just yet, but I was NOT on a boat when I marked out all the depressions. It took me about 4 hours, but the depressions are dead on balls accurate. I drove over and verified about 10 to be true and correct. Most of the depressions were only about 3 ft deeper than the ...

Lake Iamonia

I've been out the last 2 days on the lake. I marked 700 holes on my navionics and wanted to verify them. The water is overflowed to the roundabout and its a little hard to find the ramp at Bull Headley. Theres a lot of debris in the water and its difficult getting accurate readings on most of the ...

Re: St Marks river 2/19

yeah I'm getting used to it. The worst is when there's 2 on the edge and they move towards the center of the channel as you come by. What the hell are you supposed to do?. I dont take pics of these fish I catch up here. I have nothing to prove to anyone. I fish for pelagics down south, those fish ...

Re: Ecofina Monday Afternoon

yeah, that was really donk of me. I've been waiting for someone to say something about that lol . I've navigated before without having to use my spotlight in fog, and a new moon coming out of weird creeks and never had a problem before. I didnt intend to stay out past dusk that day either. I dont ...

Re: St Marks river 2/19

sorry, I'm not trying to offend anyone Mastercaster. I'm referring to the people who sit 3-4 boats within 50 yds of each other on the turns at St marks, up river. People who park in the middle of the narrowest channels at Econfina (forcing you into the rocks), folks that blast music and drink all ...

Re: Ecofina Monday Afternoon

Tytytyty did NOT get skunked on sunday. We had a donkey with us and we arrived with a low incoming dirty tide, so the upriver creeks were a no go during the day. I told Ty, the donkey does not get to cast onto new water in these creeks, theres only one fish in every third hole here, but you're ...

Re: St Marks river 2/19

There's supposedly a wreck by 17, but I can never find it. And two people have told me about structure around 25, but I havent taken too much time to find it, and I've yet to locate it. Supposedly theres tons of BSB, rock bass, sheepshead and snapper there when its warmer. Thanks for the pointer ...

Re: St Marks river 2/19

no, but i would love to find that structure around buoy 25! Econfina is like shooting fish in a barrel. Most creeks barely get worked over there. Love that place, just a little longer of a drive. I've got even better spots than econfina, but theyre a little further away.

St Marks river 2/19

Went out this morning with, we put "killjoys cherry" in after cast netting for a few throws from the dock at the fort. The tide was coming in and the wind was a steady 10mph breeze, not too much chop but a strong current. We ran down the river, and fished one of the first western side creeks, the ...

Re: Catching - Saturday 1/19/2013 - St. Marks

the hole he speaks of is by the first buoy where the rivers meet. I believe its in line with the idle sign. Its almost dead center of the channel. Run your bottom reader. I always see a bait ball there no matter what the tide is.

Re: Stoney Bayou

Thanks for the advice guys, I just woke up again from my second nap today. My body was tired as hell. 99% of the time I usually have my water proof spot light with me and fully charged. I just misplaced it the other day and didnt intend to stay out past dusk. Stony Bayou was just very slow getting ...

Stoney Bayou 2/17

Got to the fort around noon, and the parking lot was packed. I knew there would be 3 donkeys on every corner up river so after putting in and tying up I cast netted for a little and caught some scaled sardines at the end of the boat ramp. It was a low low tide, so I took her down the river and ...

St. Marks Fishing report 12/10

Got skunked for the first time on saltwater ever. I got out to the light house boat ramp at 3:00pm and put in. We trolled out a mile throwing a popping cork with a Gulp shrimp out left and right and turned in and trolled 3 miles towards Live Oak island. We ran out of daylight and trolled across the ...
