I was thinking of trying out my Stradic 3000 on some snapper. Anyone attempted this yet. If so, what's the most reasonable rod you would pair up to this reel to handle these fish?

I'm looking at purchasing a conventional style reel to go on a new jigging rod I recently bought. I'm wanting to jig for snapper,grouper, and aj's with this setup. I don't want to break the bank on this one purchase though. What would y'all recommend??

I started the morning off at the mouth of Yates and worked my way to the mouth of Dallas Creek. Me and another boat. Six of us fished all day with nothing to show for it. Keaton has not produced nothing lately for me.
