Re: Looking for a Scenic Ride
Check out Ochlockonee River State Park in the Sopchoppy area, about one hour south of Tallahassee. It is brackish water, you can catch redfish, striped bass, sunshine bass and freshwater catfish. Check with the park ranger on duty for advice on kayaking the local creeks off of the main river.

If you are or know someone who is a member of Sam's Club, they have a good quality Penn spinning reel and 7 ft. medium action rod for sale around $100 at the Tallahassee store. The reel alone goes for $99 at local stores; it's really a good all around fishing combo for most inshore Florida fishing.

Check out bman's post from Sept. 29 titled: "If you were going to buy one rifle?" A lot of good suggestions in that thread.

Re: Second rifle for sale
I believe the 77/44 is a bolt action rifle and it would be marked as such on the receiver.
Is the carbine for a sale a semi-automatic? If so, they are excellent made carbines and I wish I bought one years ago!
I do not have the money to buy your rifle but I wish you well selling it.

Re: My Grandma the conservative. A story.
Rhettley - Thank you so much for the story about your Grandmother. There is a reason why the older folks are called members of the "Greatest Generation," they survived the Great Depression by getting by with just about nothing. My parents were very frugal because of the same reason; nothin...
