Re: Pumpkin Season

Thanks for the report RedBeard. We are heading down to Panacea tomorrow to fish the weekend. I see where y'all are getting lots of rain today so I guess there will be a lot of fresh water pouring into the bays. Looks like the tides will be ripping also.

Panacea trip report

We made our first trip down to Panacea since last October. We fished Saturday and Sunday. We launched Saturday morning at daybreak out of Mashes Sands and fished several spots in Ochlocknee Bay and only managed a sail cat, a croaker, and a small sand trout. We then relocated to Rock Landing and fish...

Re: Amber Jack

We caught some smaller ones around Rose City Reef (public #) a few years back. That's south of Dog Island just in federal waters.

Re: Memorial Day Trip - Making Ontiltttttt's Dreams Come Tru

Great report as usual BBG. I couldn't help but noticing your troller stabilizer support in one of the pics. I've been looking for something like that for my troller. Can you share the brand and model and if you would recommend it....thanks.

Mashes Sands Ramp

Does anyone happen to know if the Mashes Sands ramp is still open? I know they closed the beach and pier but haven't heard yet concerning the boat ramp. I was thinking about making a trip there next week.

POSSIBLE FALL SNAPPER SEASON?

So when should we expect a announcement as to whether or not there will be a fall reopening if quota is available? Would this be weekends only or a string of days you think?

Re: Jaws Moment

Ive seen "HER", twice, just south of the 2nd pole in the East flats in about 6-8 feet of water. It was last year, late spring. Looked like a spotted submarine. My 12 year old was fishing from the bow of the boat and alerted me....we both were a little spooked. She looked as long as the 17...

Re: Jaws Moment

Me and a friend were fishing out around Marker 24 several years ago. It was in August best I remember and hot as blazes so my friend decided he wanted to take a dip off the boat. I warned him about the strong current and when he dove in he came up some distance from the boat due to the current. He s...
