Nice catch! I've caught a few blue gill at Piney Z but have never found a bed. Mainly, just catch them randomly fishing a Bitsy Minnow.

I had a great weekend of fishing at Piney Z! On Saturday, I caught a mudfish on on live bream weighted to the bottom. It was a much better fight than I expected. Also, caught two decent bass (2 pounds or so), and my friend caught a gar.

They are definitely in Piney Z. I caught one with a live bream weighted to the bottom. Also, I saw a guy catch one floating a bream with a cork.

Nice! No doubt in my mind there are some monsters in Piney Z. Just too many healthy fish overall for there not to be.

One of the biggest bass I ever caught was out of Piney z. Caught it off the second finger on one of those chatter baits. If I recall it was dark blue or black in color and fishing it slow almost like a plastic worm.

Also, the water level is very high. It was almost up to the end of the wooden pier last week.
