Re: Big Bend Fishing

My thing is, where do they get their data? Has anyone participated in a stock assessment?
I never have been asked on snapper, grouper, redfish, or trout.
Makes me wonder if they do a lot of SWAGing. Smart Wild A__ Guessing.

Re: Live shrimp in Talley

Since Half Hitch in St Joe is closing, I was trying to find a source for live shrimp on my way down. Tallahassee, Blountstown, Wewa.
Blue water doesn’t have them consistently or are sold out and really will be now that they the only place in town.

Does anyone know of a bait shop that has live bait shrimp in Tallahassee?

Re: Water clarity around Keaton

I hope the predator exclusion cages will keep sea urchins out. From what I’ve seen, they get more scallops than people.

Re: Water clarity around Keaton

Maybe someone will be out around Keaton today to give us an updated water clarity report for fishing.

Re: Ecofina 4th-6th annual guys fishing weekend.

HM, we were there as well. Did you get into the bloom or what ever that goop was in the water just east? We tried out to 8 ft water and that was where it was. I was afraid it would stop up my water pump it was so thick. Just wondering what it was and if that’s what had the trout lockjawed. We had 8 ...

Re: Cinco de mayo at Ecofina.

Heard some poor reports from earlier in the week. Can’t figure why the trout aren’t on fire. Hopefully will pick up tomorrow for all.

Re: Aucilla report?

We did make it out. Opted for The Fenholloway instead of Aucilla. Found trout in creeks wanted Catch 2000 and Mirro Lures. North wind kept the water out and almost made me motor to Econfina because of the sorry ramp at Fenholloway. FWC were waiting for all when we got to the ramp. Overall a good day...

Re: Louisiana inshore

I wonder why they can sustain a 25 fish limit per person and we can't sustain 5. Just wondering out loud.
