I know late but got out this past Sat in my kayak from the Lighthouse. No water at all maybe 4 inches in the canal. Headed east to some creeks and caught a few reds and trout. Biggest red was a fat 6.24 lbs. 25.5 incher. Kept two smaller trout for fish tacos.

Negative low tides
Alright folks need some help. I have been dragging my kayak to the back of Stoney Bayou for about 4-5 months now. My question is this. I have not hit any of the negative tides coming up. If I get out in a -.6 or -.4 tide can I get back to the spillway in my yak without having to pull it most of the ...

Re: Which Kayak to buy at Sporting Goods Store
I am in the same boat, looking for a Kayak. I know everyone says buy the big name brands, but Academy has the Perception Pescador Angler 12' Sit-On Kayak for 399 right now. That's 150 off. Most of the reviews I have seen have been fairly positive, what are some thoughts on this yak? Thanks

Welcome to the club. You will want to get a plate setter for those long slow cooks. I also have a pizza stone for the pizzas. If you can find peach wood, I would get some. I get mine from a guy up in Atlanta.

2004 Sea Chaser 220 BayRunner for sale
I have a 2004 Sea Chaser 220 BayRunner that I need to sale. I purchased it about four years ago from my uncle, so I know the boat has been well maintained. It has a 2004 Honda BF 150 4-stroke with SS-Prop and a 52 gal tank that will allow you to run for days. It has a bimini top, lots of storage ...

St. Marks today
Boy was it windy at St Marks today. The fish were hit and miss today. Ended up with nine trout between 16-19 in, 1 15 in flounder and about 15-20 short trout. We had to work hard all day for these fish. Oh did I mention a huge red bull in the 25 pound range. He hit a gulp on 10 pound test. It took ...

St Marks 3/20 late report
Took a buddy out of St Mark on Thursday. Caught one big fat 23" trout around the oyster beds and a couple 15-16" fish on the flats. Water temp at about three was 66.7. I know this is a late report but wanted to share. All fish were caught on suspended plugs.

Maybe some mahi trolling then maybe some mangrove snapper fun for the kids. We are up for just about anything. It will be three adults and two kids 9 and 10. Any suggestions first trip to the keys?

Hello folks, we are going down to marathon over the holidays. Does anyone know a good charter boat they recommend for some offshore fishing? Thank you.

Re: fishing Destin this week
We have had pretty good luck hunting for trout and redfish putting in at Joes Bayou at day-break and heading out to the right and fishing all the docks in Joes Bayou. We always seem to catch fish there.

Great Fish! Where area were you fishing? SGI, Lanark, St Marks? I have only been able to find these fish in the SGI area.
