Shotguns do just fine for squirrels if you use small game loads, you will have to pick BBs out of the meat though. If you're new to hunting/shooting a shotgun may be a better choice because the pattern gives you a better chance of putting him on the dinner plate. A .22 or .22 LR would do you just fi...

As far as deer rifles go, you can't go wrong with bolt action. Durable, wear proof, and easy to clean. As far as cartridges go its personal preference really (I prefer .308), along with factoring in how far you will be shooting. Remington's model 7 & 700 are worth a look.

Was out on Ochlockonee Bay and the gulf side of alligator point earlier this morning, water still looks like gravy. Visibility well less than a foot.

Nice fish!! Hopefully some of the floating grass will clear so topwater becomes an option again. What was the water quality/visibility like?
