Re: Steinhatchee 4/8-10:Or how I got conned into painting a fence

Well that report was...unique lol! Took many hook and turns lol! I heard the mullet stay baited up off of that Hungy Howies dock. I’ve always wanted to run down there and check that out.

Re: Free Penn Reel w/ Fenwick Rod

If this has never happened to you before then you are unfortunate, because that means you haven’t done much fishing in your life. It happens to everybody who fishes enough, and it has happened to me twice. I got 1 back similar to how somebody above explained the got theirs back. The other one I did ...

Re: Keaton 3/24: A sporty trip

I could tell way before I was finished reading the long report that that was the report of a man who enjoyed himself, and that that would have been the case had he not gotten a bite. I tell you what about losing big fish. We seem to be born with the belief that when we lose a big one that’s the last...

Re: How far have you been up Pinhook Creek (River)?

Went back to the fishing spot yesterday for the first time since the story from last summer and didn’t get to wet a hook because the hole was full of gators, 80s horror movie style. I drove up and the king of the hole was stretched out across the road. He slid in and I hopped out to find that after ...

Re: Slave Canal questions

Ok so what about Cow Creek? Has anybody ever been all the way up there? Cow Creek is the big creek the pours into the Wacissa from the just before you get to the canal and Halfmile Rise fork. I can’t believe that it doesn’t show clearly on Google Maps because it’s wide. I went in a small ways years ...

Re: St Marks water clarity since rains

I was also surprised to see that the upper Aucilla had came down a couple feet. It’s still flooded but the drop has started. Hopefully we got a fun spring ahead.

“Since rains” is a fantasy for the last almost year. When is the last time it hasn’t flooded more than a week apart?

Re: Lake Lafayette and Lake Jackson

I haven’t fished a think lily pad lake on forever! Fun times. There’s always bass under them. Is Lake Lafayette safe anymore as in just the water??? I just assumed it was polluted by now.

Re: Lures -

Trout and Redfish know how to swallow a lure, that’s for sure. Catch and release is obviously an issue with them and lures. Then there’s bass. No matter how hard they smash it, it seems to always be easily removed...usually before it gets in the boat lol! I was going to put a bass hook on the back o...

Re: Econfina River questions and thoughts

Found it on the satellite view of Google Maps, and the primitive landings. The mud hole road was the road that went to them. The Swimmin Hole is up from them and down from the 3rd bridge. Can’t wait to go fishing there again.

Re: Econfina River questions and thoughts

I ran all around Shady Grove today looking for it. A few things jogged my memory but I found nothing out for sure. I found 1 place that looked like a primitive landing but turned around at a mud hole. Had it not been raining I would have walked on through because I was close. There were a few primit...

Re: what's your Favorite boat food?

Watermelon was always my favorite. I would have half of 1 on the boat and tear it up as soon as I’d caught a bunch or made it to where I was paddling to on a trip. Lunch fishing is always better once you’ve did what you meant to do that day imo. I don’t take watermelon anymore though because at age ...

Re: Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek

Knocking off the front of your boat, getting stuck, sharks, jellyfish, sand gnats, deer flies, and plenty of cussing to back it up. Sounds just like my kind of fishing lol!
