Re: going after some size

No best way is to cast it and let it sit till u have a fish. Reeling it along the bottom will get it snagged a lot. Now even when u hook a fish sometimes they still drag the weight into a rock or something. That's y I use 50 lbs liter. 60lbs power pro and tie the weight with 30lbs liter. So if it ...

Re: going after some size

O yeah they are tons of fun and deff are full of worms. I don't catch them to eat. Just to fight and revive then release. I just enjoy having my rod bend over and all so I'm not catching them to keep.

Re: going after some size

Yea I fish the bottom. But i only use 4oz weights. And a 3 way swivel cause there are a lot of rocks and oysters the weights get caught on so when u catch a big one they break the line the weight is on occasionally cause its stuck on a rock or something. We do catch bull reds a decent bit. Didn't ...

Me and my buddy decided enough with the trout we wanted to go after some bigger fish this weekend so we headed out to a fishing spot where we normally can find the big boys. After a beautiful drive to the landing where my bearing busted and my tire flew off the trailer we spent 3 hours getting the ...

econfina sunday

Headed out on Sunday around 10:30 just after low tide. Was a littlw chilly and windy but it was fun raising up the Jack plate and blowing by the 6 boats stuck in the shallow water at the mouth of the river. Got out fished several different spots all with the same result. Little to no action. Ended ...

Re: Econfina Water Clarity

Its not that clear still fish there tho. I went last weekend and caught a decent bit of trout and mack. Even with the water still cold. So I'm sure there will be plenty of fish to catch there again this year

Went on out to try my luck yesterday. Got there at sunrise a little before low tide headed out to the shallow flats. Started off a little slow just a few trout here and there. After the tides changed and water temp came up a little bit that started to change. Trout were spread out but there were ...
