Point taken.
Nice weather once a week is a lot better than we have had lately in Charleston, SC.
Wind never stopped blowing entire month of October offshore here.
Any of the 3 places better for trouts and reds?
Thanks.

considering a trip to either steinhatchee, cedar key, or st marks in november.
Will be bringing a 24 ft privateer from Charleston, SC.
Hoping to catch some grouper or whatever fish someone from this group suggests.
Any reason to pick one of these places over another?

Re: Alligator point help
Went back to dog island reef today. Blue fish were running thru. Tried everything before my dad started catching them on a small chugger type popping bait for bass. They were crashing it hard. Caught several for about 30 minutes. Not too much success after that. How deep of water should I be ...

Coming to alligator point in June. Trying to figure out which chip to buy for my Lowrance. Will be in a 20 ft Grady. Planning to go 10 - 15 miles out. Kids will be happy just to catch grunts.

Re: First trip to alligator point this june
Thanks for quick response. Squid for the grunts? Also what type of leader, hook, line?
In North Carolina I had issues with Spanish breaking lines. What kind of leader for casting spoons or jigs to them?
Thanks.

First trip to alligator point this june
Just booked at house at alligator point second week of June. Bringing 20 ft Grady (thanks Dad). Hoping to put some 11 and 9 year old boys on some fish. Sounds like popping cork with gulp would work in bay and around dog island reef. Any tips on depths what to look for and such...
