Re: Rock The Dock Leaderboard 2016
That crew that came in with the big AJ's was impressive. There were 5 or 6 of them on one team and each brought one to the scale over 60lbs.
Re: Catfish
What were you using for bait? My family loves to fish Talquin for Catfish and never seems to have a problem catching fish. The have totally went exclusively to the stink bait rigs that use the peanut butter looking stuff. I grew up on Talquin and we used cut bait but the stink bait is by far the ...

Re: Red tournament in Steinhatchee
The bite was definitely crazy. We caught 2 in a 15 minute span around 1pm. That was the only 2 bites we got. I blame the 2 boats that dredged the bottom right in our float path when we went up to redrift (They were loaded with about 6 people each who had been waiting on enough water to get to the ...

Re: Econfina Saturday
We fished south of Ecofina as well. We were looking for Reds for a tournament next week. I caught one puppy out by Rock Island. We caught 7 keeper trout in the afternoon fishing in front and just up in the creeks in that area. We caught all of ours on hard lures. No top water action.

Re: skunked my son out of St Marks this morning
the grass was definitely bad I lifted the motor so we would drift sideways. Both fished straight down wind so we didn't pull across the grass drift. By fishing with the direction it floats we were able to miss grass about every half dozen casts.

skunked my son out of St Marks this morning
Left out of Shields about 715. Headed east toward Gray Mare Rock. Stopped in about 4.5 foot and just drifted casting a gulp. My 13 year old fished hard but never hooked up. I landed 9 all trout and 5 were keepers. I talked alot of smack. Fun trip.

Just getting back on the water. Bought a 17ft key west. What's the required safety gear I must carry?
