Jigs will get you for sure, funny how it's always a red grouper gaggle that doubles up on the jig. Makes me wish I had went on the trip I was invited on the 24th but having to put in a new drain field and a new driveway probably would have been a bit much when I'm going in a week

I went for the day on the 19th and sounds like I should have waited, I ran to pepper fish and the grass was horrible and I couldn't fish top water past rocky creek.

I'm hoping to make it back out myself soon, I figured out I wasted $400 on a fuel pump andy boat is ready to go now
So basically all is going normal to start a fishing season if you’re anything like me.

Glad y'all had a decent trip, we went out on the 19th but inshore and nothing particular to post about other than a cobia hookup and a tarpon hookup that both happened to be on the lightest rods in the boat. I'm looking forward to snapper season as I have a trip June 9th. Maybe that trip will throw ...

My understanding is yes, until they get around the big bend of Florida they have to be 9 miles off to stay out of the seagrass preserve and outside of that they can be closer in.

My preference is to use the JDM torium
Do you prefer the HG or the PG version?
I've got both, I prefer the hg for jigging and pg for bottom fishing....but if you are going to do both with that jigging rod I'd get the hg. The PG does have more drag than the hg but if you get the JDM ...
