Lol, at least it wasn't a hardhead but a sheep fin going through a fingernail wasnt fun. Funny thing I have never had fried sheepshead, I've broiled them, grilled them, stuffed them with crab, and made fish tacos on the blackstone with them.

Re: A Friend Took Me Fishing and HOGGED All the Fish
Interesting, I have not caught a hogfish over this way, I have only caught them back towards steinhatchee. Good trip nonetheless.

What are your favorite ways to prepare grunts for a meal, not bait?
Small ones I cut like a bream and fry them, ones big enough to filet I normally grill on the Blackstone with old bay and taijin for fish tacos, old bay, Tuscan herb butter, and dillo dust if they are going with rice instead ...

Yeah them were not caught in the river, they were caught in a creek over towards big pass. I don't fish the river, I can't stand retards fishing in the middle of the channel

After the good offshore trip we had before Christmas I got the itch and decided the weather looked good enough to throw a trip together last week. My boss knows if I take off a random day during the week the weather must be right to run offshore :-D
