Re: Engine repair?
It's not pumping fuel. Think it's probably the fuel pump. It'd be great if you'd pass along theat number.

Engine repair?
Does anybody know of a place I can get my Evinrude Etec 40 looked at that will do good work and get it turned around reasonably quickly? I usually take my boat to Parkway, but they can't even look at until August 3rd. I don't want to miss half the summer with my boat laid up in the yard.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Anybody know if this skiff can reasonably deal with the chop we have in our area?

Poling a Sea Chaser 180 flats?
Anybody ever poled a Sea Chaser 180 flats? I'll be using it for inshore flyfishing for redfish, trout, and maybe tarpon. It's heavy for a poling skiff, but is it doable? I like that it has some weight and a pronounced V and some deadrise, it should handle the conditions around here well, just ...

Penn 450 SS on a Hurricane 7' MH Spinning Rod for sale
The reel is an older model 450 SS in good shape. Lightly used and stored inside its whole life. It has a few superficial scratches and dings. The rod is relatively new and in excellent condition.
Also for sale is a Penn graphite 4300 SS in good condition. These would make great loaner gear or ...

Re: Inshore/Offshore boat
Checkout a Tideline. Looks like a great compromise. Drafts 14", but if it's like any other cat I've been on, it'll eat 3 - 4 foot chop for breakfast.

Re: Redfish bag limit change May 1st
Good news! I was never in favor of the bag limit being pushed to two, given the heavy and growing fishing pressure on this species. Looks like those of us that argued against it were on the right track.

Re: Custom Inshore Rods
Skunk, just wanted to let you know I was at dom's house tonight. I played with your rod ;). Looks sweet. Hes working on another spinner for me and then a new baitcaster. I like the heavy power modfast action. Should be a good bull red/small tarpon rod.

Re: Custom Inshore Rods
That's my rod he's showing off there. I've had Dom build me 2 rods so far: a 7 foot and a 7 and a half foot medium power fast action for trout and redfish. They're hands down the best rods I've ever owned, easily better than my old St. Croix Inshore at basically the same cost. I'll be having him ...

Re: Flourocarbon?
Thanks. I've always used Ande mono too. Good stuff at a good price. Which kind of Seaguar do you use? They have two or three different types of flouro.

Is there a general consensus on the best brands of mono and flouro leader material? What do you folks use?
