I know it is short notice, but would anyone like to fish the flats tommorow in my boat and split costs? I have a proline 240cc. Can probably take 3 more people and not be overcrowded. 850_345_1995.

Fished the flats at St. Marks yesterday. Stayed between the lighthouse and shell Point. Concentrated on areas 4-6 feet deep. Suffered long periods of not much happening interspersed with periods of catching one right after another and sometimes two at a time. Caught lots of short trout, a coup!e ...

I put out a line with a pinfish. Had it in the water most of the day. All it caught was one shark.

Did better with gulp.

Got a late start yesterday. Initially targeted 3 foot depths. Not much luck. Eventually found the fish in 5 foot depths. Caught quite a few shorts and ended the day with 8 keepers in the boat. Managed a limit of trout today. Bite not as hot as Saturday but more keepers/ fewer shorts. Caught fish on gulp shrimp, live shrimp and pinfish. 3-5 foot depths seem to be optimum right now.

Fished 3-5 foot depths West of the lighthouse. Between two of us caught over 50 trout with 8 keepers mixed in. Lots of boats with limits at the marina. Not the best bite I've seen here but steady through out most of the day. Also caught a bunch of ladyfish, two bonnethead sharks and a catfish.

I have never been, but I recently purchased a speargun, am scuba certified, and have a 26 foot center console boat. I live in Tallahassee and fish out of St. Marks. If you are interested in sharing fuel costs for fishing/spearfishing let me know.
