Re: rocky Creek to Pepperfish Key
As far as sink goes I have seen boats made up like yours come out of there that launched there. I have never been up to the landing but have used my trolling motor in my 18' boat to fish that creek on the right tides with no issues. The distance from there est 4-5 miles. Aim for south of Bowlegs on ...
Re: Pole Barn
Try Gulf Coast lumber Monticello. Pretty sure they have the prefab trusses at the best price (been a while) and also will sell everything as a kit.

Minn Kota Rip Tide 70
I have a 10 month old Minn Kota Rip TIde 70 24 volt trolling motor for sale. Everything works fine. The motor is to big for the boat I am fishing. I originally purchased to use on a bigger boat. Price is 400$ http://imgur.com/TBGD7Kr

Re: Goodbye Keaton Beach marina
That is really sad for me to see. I grew up going to that marina with my dad when Mrs. Pat ran it. I can remember many days being the only boat out. I also remember my dad getting 500 shrimp and and having to go back for more so many fish were biting. RIP

Re: To boat or not to boat....
I guess you have to ask your self is the enjoyment or lack there off worth it to pay for parking. Personally I've done this same thing before and didn't take mine and regretted it for 7 nights lol.

Re: Bear Hunts Postponed for 2016
I know where does there bears get off.... What is even crazier is seeing them take down hornets nests. From what i understand they actually prefer the bee and hornet larvae to the honey for protein.

Re: Bear Hunts Postponed for 2016
It sad all these people weighing in on something that they have no idea about. (hunting and game management) Most sportsman I know are the best care takers of the land, timber and wild life. I live on Highway 90 between Madison and Greenville. I have constant struggles with bears getting into my bee ...

Re: Thoughts on knots
I have to confirm the double uni knot is by far the best way to go. We fish braid with fluorocarbon leader that knot hasn't failed me yet. It is a bit of a pain to tie on a boat when the wind is blowing. IMHO

06/11/16 Pepper Fish Key
Went back to Pepper Fish Saturday. Water temp was 85 in the shallows which was 2' of water. Red fish bite was on fire at first light on the incoming tide. The fish seem to be holding in the holes if you know where to look. Gulp mud minnow threaded on an old vudu shrimp hook seemed to be the best bet ...

Re: Lake Miccosukee mystery
o2 is also my opinion. I have a 2 acre pond at my house and the fish do that in the summer when we go weeks without much rain. Usually doesn't happen until July/August when the water temp is extremely warm. Also lake mic has so man Lilly pads and vegetation on the bottom that takes air out of the ...
