Re: Another great power pole customer service thread
Among the best customer service in the industry. I’ve totally rebuilt my Power Pole with free replacement part from them... I’m not even the original owner.

Re: 6/15 Buoy 26 & south
We caught a 4 man limit in 45ft pretty quick. All were nice 11-14#. Tried to find some grouper but only managed a bunch of shorts with the biggest being 23 1/2”. Those water spouts were pretty cool, first time seeing that many all at once

Re: Pilchards
I've used canned cat food as chum for pilchards with good success. The only place I used to catch them regularly was around Dog Island. We used to stop there and fill the live well before heading offshore. I never really tried anywhere else.
Re: Pompano
I have a friend that caught one a couple of weeks ago at St George. That's way early, but I guess anything is possible

Drove by Shell Point ramp yesterday, it looked fine. But Shell Point is restricted access right now.

Aucilla 6/22
I hadn't fished here in probably 20 years. Launched around 7:30. Wind had to be 15-20 mph first thing. It made it tough to fish the points at the mouth, even with the trolling motor. I managed a 21" red on a chug bug. Had 2 other fishermen with me. They started out with redfish magic...no bites ...

I really like my Stradic ci4's. Super lightweight and great drags. I have them on G Loomis and Star rods

Nice. I put a 74sv on my boat earlier this year. They're very nice units. Can't wait until the Navionics chip comes out.

While I love catching trout, I'll take a cooler full of rockbass over them any day.

Re: Must have fishing accessories
I bought a cheap complete tool set from Harbor Freight that I keep on the boat, because you never know...
I need to get a first aid kit but I do carry various size bandaids.
