Re: St Marks water clarity since rains
I fished East of the LH this past Saturday and the water was pretty stained. I didn't venture too far out on the flats but East of Palmetto it was really dark.

what's your Favorite boat food?
Although food is generally one of the last things I think about when planning a day on the water I'd like to do a little better with it this year. In a effort to do so I'd like to hear what's your favorite thing to eat on the boat is. Just looking for new ideas. Cold fried chicken or a meat and chee...

Re: taxidermist?
Harden's does do a good job but think the wait is 2 years or a least that what it was the last time we used them. I can't post pic's but will send it to someone that can.

taxidermist?
My buddy shot a deer Sunday that we have been hunting most of the season. He's looking for a good taxidermist that can do the front shoulders, neck and head. It's not official yet but a good chance it will be the new state record at 168.5 BC so they need to be good. Any recommendations?

Re: Does anyone know how to fix a sticky Shimano T-handle?
Try that calcium stuff people use on shower heads. Forgot the name of it. Then uses really hot water to rinse it. Sometimes it's just a buildup of salt and minerals and oil does noting to fix it.

Re: First Time Fishing Low Tide in Winter - Learning Occurred
There are several forum members that can, and do access those creeks at low tide that aren’t in airboats What type of boat are you using to get up in there? He fishes with me out of a 15' G3. Yes the boat helps but having an intimate knowledge of the area is also key. I've been fishing those creeks...

Re: Dehookers/hook remover
It's easy to bend a light wire hook with one but I've never bent my dehooking devises before. Have one for inshore and a longer one for offshore. The best way to use it is to hook on to the outside of the hook (opposite side of the hooks bend). Make sure the the point of the dehooker is closest to t...

Re: Dehookers/hook remover
I've been using one of those stainless steal tube spring ones for years and they are the best you can buy. I just went on-line to look for them so I could give you a link to the exact one I use but could find it. There are a lot on the market now that are similar but they all have one BIG issue. The...

Re: Stuck shotgun choke
Thanks for the advise guys. Ended up putting some WD40 (what I already had) in a tomato paste can and soaked the barrel in it for a couple of day. Then heated the barrel and it came out without much of an issue.

Stuck shotgun choke
As the title states, I have a choke that is stuck in one of my shotguns. I was think about soaking it in some type of oil for a few days before tying to get it loose again. What do you guys think would be the best type of oil to use. Didn't know if something like Liquid Wrench would mess up the blui...

Re: Negative low tides
I've done it many times although it's been a while. At a negative tide you would have to drag your kayak a good ways through pretty nasty mud. I would wait until you have .5 or more of water before doing so. Also if you are looking at the tide times for SM lighthouse it is about 1.5-2 hours later in...

Re: St Marks weekend -- tough fishing
We made a quick morning trip down to SM Saturday. Fished for about 3 hours up in the marsh. I landed 11 or 12 healthy trout while my fishing buddy got 2 decent reds, a 16" flounder and a couple trout too. All on artificial and everything released except the flounder.
