Re: Wahoo, Dolphin and Tuna

10-4. The big black sea bass (rock bass) should keep them busy as hell. Also, if they fish some public wrecks (the barge NEAR O tower), they could get into some nice mangrove snapper too. Fish the sand around the barges with squid for flounder. noaa is forecasting 15 knot winds and seas at 2'-4'. ho...

Re: Wahoo, Dolphin and Tuna

If they are heading out tomorrow (4'-6', not me) they won't have any luck with the three species in this area. Too cold (and shallow). You need to go west over to Mexico Beach offshore starting around late May when the water warms up and you can get some. If you have to have them now, go over and fi...

Re: Lobsters???

We routinely found spiney lobster in the SE rocks area from 45' out to 60' whenever we would spearfish (haven't been in a while). I personally hauled out a 14 lb mutha! The tail was so wide, you couldn't grasp it with your hand!

Ah, who gives a flip? Afterall, we're all here to have fun. Taking stances and supporting interests like the one you mentioned is taking all the fun out of it, right? This entire thread should be deleted as it may cause another frenzy of bad mouthing and general negative bickering between members.

DeSoto is 65 miles south of P-cola, and water where we troll is 1800-2400 ft deep. You get wahoo, dolphin, tuna, and marlin. This place, the further out you go once you get there, gets down to over 10,000 ft deep, but that's 120 miles offshore and too far out for the boats we've got. If there was no...

rolled over to destin for two days of deep water fishing from 85' out to 265'. if we caught 1 red snapper, we caught 60. they are alive and well over there. found a "new" ledge in 171' that was absolutely massive in area with 10'-15' of relief . it held big red snapper, and smallish speckl...

again, snuck out between sorry weather and was met with 3-4's in the am, but the ride in my buddy's world cat made the seas a non-factor. these boats are fantastic. anyway, still lured by big daddy grouper, we went out to 99' and could only muster up a 13# gag, a scamp and some red snapper throw bac...
