Apalachee Inshore report January 2021
Hello all! It's been awhile since I've posted one of these in here, but here is the first inshore report of 2021. Evan and I are on year number 3 of doing the report. We have a couple new things this year. 1st, we are doing the show live, which means you can ask questions or comment during the shows...

Re: Flyfishing - Locally
One question I have for you fellas is whether you have a Shrimp pattern preference. I nerded out one day this summer and read about the life and times of an estuary dwelling shrimp. Now is the time that shrimp are moving into the creeks and I took my spin casting, Vudu shrimp using, buddy to one of...

Re: Flyfishing - Locally
I've yet to keep from breaking off on any flyrod red over 22". Would love to blame my gear, but I think it's operator error. Hats off to you skilled folks. Gary what size tippet are you using? I have had very few break offs on fly, and I've used as small as 12 pound class tippet. Are you tying...

Re: Flyfishing - Locally
So awesome to see more people getting into fly fishing! There are some phenomenal sight fishing opportunities along our stretch of coastline. Was out Wednesday with a client and we went 5 for 6 on big reds with the smallest being 25".

Re: last three months fishing reports
I didn’t watch the vid, but one cast distance seems awfully close to me. And I believe most anglers would feel the same. We give people much more space than that. We like to give ( and get) at least a few casts lengths. I guess everyone is different in what the give and expect, but dang. Just becau...

Re: last three months fishing reports
I enjoy your reports and trying to put your shared knowledge to use. A couple of suggestions for future reports...where to find and catch sheepshead; where to find and catch black drum; and, more tips about proper etiquette (I liked your comment about “if you can’t cast into the other guys boat, yo...

Re: last three months fishing reports
Did the storm do anything for the water levels? I know it stinks at the time when everything floods but it’s good for fishing g and everything else in the long run. Obviously there was no flooding but from what I’ve seen it didn’t even fill the rivers back up. Granted I’ve only seen the St Marks on...

Re: Florida Marine Tracks
Yes, Garmin user now because of functions and user-friendly interface. But I've owned Humminbird and Lowrance in the past and have used Simrad and Raymarine. Had several issues with Humminbird and Lowrance before making the switch. Lowrance is one of the brands compatible with FMT, but tons of comp...
